IS INDIANA JONES 5 IN THE WORKS?
While promoting his new movie, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which hits theatres September 24th, Shia LaBeouf confirmed to various members of the press that Indiana Jones 5 is in the works. He told showbizspy.com, “I got called into Steven’s [Spielberg] office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool.” LaBeouf has previously implied that he disliked the last Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was out in 2008, and was one of the biggest movies at the box office that year.
People either loved the last Indiana Jones film, or felt underwhelmed by it. We at Fox All Access.com loved it, and are big Harrison Ford fans. Ford was 65 years old while making the movie, and will likely be 70 by the time Indy 5 starts filming. We have every confidence that two of the greatest storytellers that the film industry has ever seen, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, will come up with a great plot for Indy 5.
So, are you interested in seeing another Indiana Jones movie, or is it about time for Harrison Ford to retire his fedora and whip? Let us know what you think!

Looking forward to another! I’m 45 years old & have been a fan of the series since the beginning. As for Harrison retiring, he’s great in the role & let him decide, along with Spilberg, if he’s too old to play the part. As for me, if he can still act at 100, let him keep the part!

If they return to the mainly NON CG movies like before, and ditch the aliens idea, I think this movie will be a huge hit.
Then again, the last one didn’t do too shabby, but it would be nice for them to get this done. If Spielberg and Lucas would/could work more quickly, I would like to see them shoot 2 more… back to back and end the series WITHOUT Mutt (Shia) taking over for more movies.
Go INDY!

A second trilogy should be the focus indeed. But each film has pretty much been stand-alone. I do hope they do a 5th and 6th. Which total 7 times Ford played Indy (Including the Mystery of the Blues bookend scenes he did for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.) Many people made a big deal about aliens and nukes factoring into Crystal Skull (as if those elements aren’t part in parcel of the 1950′s era setting). I loved it, especially the first half hour. The warehouse “You don’t know him!!” the lead lined fridge, the scrub down and interrogation, and even his firing where communist hysteria lines up with current paranoia about terrorism et cetera – all excellent. The middle feels a bit soft and the big chase through the jungle was a bit longer than it needed to be. People were impatient with the Tarzan moment for Shia, which felt too taken in stride. Ford needs to be front and center to counterpoint the craziness around him with a fed-up look that is the calm eye of the storm and keeps us focused. But over-all there was more entertainment in that movie than most current action films and it was nice to see Marion and Indy re-connect. Now that they are married, Willie Scott might make an interesting interlopper – or be mistaken for one. But I have NO curiousity about a Mutt Williams-driven spin-off. And if a sequel pushes Ford to the background then I can’t defend it. After Ford is done a couple more, then it might be forgivable to do Mutt Williams and the Nostril Mine. But not yet.

I think Indy 5 will certainly be a blockbuster hit. I’m quite sure that Harrison ford will play the part as well as he can. I think Shia’s character will be more mature in his approach to the Indiana Jones environment.
If all goes well maybe they might squeeze in Indy 6….hopefully.
