Flo Rida is one hell of a guy! Perhaps it’s because he was raised by a single mother, maybe it’s because he grew up with seven sisters or it could simply be his humble personality – whatever the reason, Flo Rida has a sensitive side to him and we’re digging it. We’re just saying, sensitivity isn’t the first thing you think about when you listen to his hit song, “Club Cant’ Handle Me.” So it was quite charming to hear and see that side of him. Flo Rida’s new album, “Only One Flo (Part 1),” came out today and we were lucky enough to hop on the phone with him to chat. He’s been in the biz for over 10 years now and he’s learned a lot…thanks to Mom. She continues to remind him to be himself, never to worry about what other people think of him, keep his head up, dream big, faith moves mountains, no pain no gain and if all else fails he can always rewind and start all over. That type of positive reinforcement really inspired him as a struggling artist and he wants others to know they should never give up either. As Flo put it, there are no excuses, if he can do it…anybody can! (Click on audio player to hear Flo Rida)

It’s finally here…the new Black Eyed Peas album, “The Beginning,” comes out today. The Peas are no strangers to success, with each album they’ve released we’ve seen hit, after hit, after hit. They recently gave us an inside look into their success. The secret involves being visionaries…constantly trying to envision that next step, always trying to come up with new content, traveling with a portable studio, and the biggest culprit of all? Will.I.Am! The guy is a workaholic and he never lets the band rest, which isn’t a bad thing. This type of work ethic is what attributes to the bands achievements. It’s been something they’ve always had in their blood, even from the very start. And, since the new album is titled as such, we asked the band to take us back to ‘The Beginning.’ What were they all about before the Black Eyed Peas ever even existed? James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be co-hosting the 83rd Academy Awards®, which will air on Sunday, February 27, 2011 on ABC.
Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer made the announcement earlier today saying, “James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons— fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27.”
James Franco, who currently stars in the dramatic film 127 Hours, is receiving the best reviews of his career and a possible Oscar nomination is in his future based on his outstanding performance in this film. Anne Hathaway currently stars in Love and Other Drugs and is likewise an Oscar contender for her leading role. Hathaway was previously nominated for an Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, for the 2008 film, Rachel Getting Married.
We at FOX All Access.com think this is a brilliant move by the Academy to name Franco and Hathaway to host the most prestigious award show in world. Both are beyond talented and this will help generate interest for the young audience, which normally does not seem too interested in award shows. Come 2011, this may change!
Leslie Nielsen, the adored television and movie comedic actor, passed away today at the age of 84 from pneumonia.
Nielsen was born on February 11, 1926 in Regina, Saskatchewan ,Canada. He begin his professional career as a radio disc jockey in Canada before enrolling in the Lorne Greene Academy of Radio Arts in Toronto, Canada. While attending school, he was offered a scholarship from the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse, an acting school in New York. Nielson moved to New York, and later attended the renowned Actors Studio. The rest of Nielson’s career is Hollywood history.
In a career spanning over six decades, Nielsen appeared in 100 films and 1,500 television shows. During the early part of his career, he was known more as a dramatic actor than a comedic one. But all that changed when he was cast in the 1980 comedy classic, Airplane, where he played Dr. Alan Rumack. Neilson’s lines, “I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley,” when he was asked, “Surely you can’t be serious,” became some of the most classic in movie history. Airplane turned Nielsen into a comedy legend.
From there, he was cast as the character ”LT. Frank Draben” in the 1982 television show, Police Squad, created by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker (the creators of Airplane). This funny show spoofed other police dramas in a comedic fashion, but only lasted six episodes. Fortunately, because there was such a huge fan following, the show was re-broadcast, and six years later Nielson’s LT. Frank Draben was brought to the big screen in 1988 in The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!
Two Naked Gun sequels then followed; The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (in 1991) and Naked Gun 1/3: The Final Insult (in 1994). All of those films were very successful.
Over the years, we spoke to Leslie Nielsen on several occasions. Below are a few of our fondest memories:

During several of our interviews with Nielson, he brought a whoopee cushion with him. As you will hear, Nielson had a fondness for fart jokes, which he performed so many times in his movies. Of course, they were always done in good taste! (Click on the audio player)

Leslie Nielsen was a fun loving, warm man who made the world laugh. He will be missed dearly, but his great work will always live on, and future generations will continue to laugh at his jokes. Nielson is survived by his wife, Barbaree, and two daughters.

Two-thirds of Sick Puppies are from Australia. The other is from Orange County, California, where they have at least half a dozen Outback steakhouses. So they brought a bit of Aussie flavor when they dropped by the offices of Fox All Access to perform and chat with host Chris Leary.
Part one of the video features the band playing their 2006 hit, “All The Same,” and talking about how the band got their big break.
Coming soon: Part two of the video, featuring a live performance of their current hit, “Maybe.”
