It’s a major coup for a television show to land an Academy Award-winning actor for a guest-starring role, but the new series “Harry’s Law” has taken it a step further, landing 1991 Best Actress Oscar winner Kathy Bates as its title character. Kelley, who’s created shows like “Boston Legal,” “The Practice,” and “Ally McBeal,” but when we asked Bates about her reasons for taking the role, she went straight to the heart of the character.
The series premiere of “Harry’s Law” is tonight on NBC.
