MORE FROM THE ‘RIO’ BLU CARPET

At the “Rio” world premiere’s “Blu carpet” event, Fox All Access talked with a couple of the movie’s stars, Anne Hathaway and Jemaine Clement (yes, from “Flight Of The Conchords”).  Hathaway told us what she loved most about her character, while Clement talked about his favorite part of making the movie.

After the stars made their way down the Blu carpet, we got to see the movie.  It’s got all of the right elements for an animated family comedy — it’s cute, it’s sweet, it’s funny, and it’s got stuff for the adults to laugh at, too.  It’s also clear how much director Carlos Saldahna (who also directed the three “Ice Age” movies) loves his hometown, because the city is portrayed in lush, vivid detail.  Even the sidewalks on Copacabana Beach have been made to look exactly like they do in real life!  “Rio” also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Jamie Foxx, and Will.I.Am, and it opens in theaters everywhere on April 15.
