WHY DID COURTNEY COX WANT TO RETURN FOR SCREAM 4?
During the early 1990′s, the horror movie genre was slowly dying. Many horror movies were released, but most did not perform well. That all changed in 1996 when Wes Craven directed the film, Scream, which became a big box office hit, bringing back horror flicks to the forefront. Scream spun off three sequels within a four year span, the last of which was Scream 3 in 2000.
11 years later, the fourth film in this franchise will be released on April 15th. David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and director, Wes Craven have all returned. Courtney Cox, who plays the obnoxious, yet loveable Gale Weathers-Riley, told us why she returned for the fourth film. (Click on the audio player to hear Courtney Cox)
