CROWE FLIES INTO SUPERMAN REBOOT AS ‘MAN OF STEEL’S’ FATHER

”Superman: Man of Steel” has scored another casting coup, landing Academy Award winner Russell Crowe for the role of Jor-El, the superhero’s Kryptonian father.

Crowe is the latest A-List actor attached to the much-anticipated reboot, joining Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, and Amy Ryan.

Of course, anybody stepping into the role of Jor-El will have to contend with comparisons to screen legend Marlon Brando’s portrayal in the original “Superman” films, but our gut feeling is that Crowe’s larger-than-life presence will make him a perfect fit for the character.  (And we’re anxious to find out if he’ll have the same curl that Brando and Superman sported.)  Do you think Crowe is a good addition to the “Man of Steel” cast?  Let us know!
