MAROON 5′S ADAM LEVINE IS STILL LIVING HIS TEENAGE DREAMS

Congratulations to Adam Levine for his Teen Choice nomination this year.  He’s in the running for “Choice TV Personality,” along with Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest and Tyra Banks.  Adam has certainly gone beyond writing and recording music, this year he took it a step further and became a judge on The Voice.  The experience has taught him a lot, especially when it comes to evaluating  his own band, Maroon 5, and figuring out how they could be even better.  He is extremely open-minded and he isn’t afraid of improving himself.  Being on the show has definitely left him inspired. Adam told us it is “kind of cool and refreshing” to be nominated for something other than his music. The cool thing about the Teen Choice awards is that it showcases up and coming teens who are making a difference with their music as well as their fashion style. The teen years can be so fun, yet so awkward, and Adam remembers being “such a nerd” when he was that age. (Click audio player for Adam Levine)

It’s hard to believe that the band started out in 2002, but did you know that before Maroon 5, they were known as “Kara’s Flowers”?  They were teenagers back then and they also made their first TV appearance as a band on a popular show back in the 90′s, the original 90210.  Adam Levine was seventeen years old back then and he calls the experience their “big moment.” (Click audio player for Adam Levine)
