HUGH LAURIE: PEOPLE OF ALL AGES CAN RELATE TO DR. HOUSE
Dr. Gregory House is one of the most popular characters on television. For eight seasons, the doctor has made audiences both love and hate him. Hugh Laurie, who has played the character so brilliantly, thinks that House is so successful because young and old audiences can relate to the doctor that we all love and hate at the same time. My wife says that she is married to House, lol!
I relate to this character so very much because I do se ea lot of myself in him and I am a health care practitioner so I relate not only to his diagnostic thinking but also his hatred for the lumbering system and it’s inadequacies. House is the best show on television and long live House!

I love House. He is either who you are or who you wish to be. He is my brother to a fault. I see so very much of my brother in this person. The snide remarks, the addition, the brillience, the whole ball of wax. Great show. I like his music as well. I think he is a great guy.

I watched House from day one, as I do ALL new shows (with one exception). I can always (not bragging) call what shows will make it and the ones that won’t. As long as the venue is not Fictional, or horror, than I am usually right on the money. I even have friends when a new show starts, ask me”Well Kandy what do you think, you think it’s gonna make it or not.? I’ve only been wrong once, and I wasn’t wrong completely, they jjust took it off too soon.
(Brothers & Sisters) What a dream job that would be, being a critic as to whether a show makes it or not.

But the real character of House is that he DOES give a damn. He is a child at heart with a brilliant mind. Like he said himself, he is damaged. Women love the damaged man, we try to fix them. They cannot be fixed.
Anyway, I love House.

Hugh Laurie is the only one who could play Dr. House so brilliantly. I am also one whose husband says I am married to him. You could not put another actor in this role and have it come alive and be executed so perfectly as Hugh Laurie. I know there will come a day when this series ends; but I just hope that the producers, directors, writers, et al, can keep it alive for millions of Hugh Laurie (Dr. House) fans. I have an addiction to television and have seen many actors come and go in my day. My husband never did like television unless it had a baseball, soccer ball, tennis ball, golf ball or football in it. He, also, never misses House which to me says tons about the appeal of Hugh Laurie and his role. I hope it never, ever ends. My family and friends know never to call me when House in on cause I just will not answer the “teley” as the “brits” call the television. I am not from England or thereabout, I am very much from the U.S. but I hope one day to see Hugh Laurie in person on American soil before I fade from this world into the next.

So many of us men are under appreciated and thru the media Political correctness, which is censorship, has now spread to behavior, not just speech. This has caused us to recoil from society in a way that is damaging and does no one favors. This character “House” shows how we are for real instead of how the feminazis would wish for us to BE. I am House in my own world. It is a lonely one with few friends. Sometimes I need to explain my bad behavior away as “House” does in order to win back those I love. I never takes long because people really do love me for the bastard careless person who really does not “Give a Damn”

Most of my friends thinks that I’m like House. Actually I never pretended to be like him. I’m like him from at time when I was 11 and House at this time didn’t exist. When I’m watching House I usually now what he would say, because I would say the same thing.;D

House is one of the best characters I really love and Hugh Laurie is the perfect actor for this character. Cant think of anyone to replace him or better than him. Been watching since season 1 and I’m sad that this might be the last season. Proud to have a half-Filipino character on the series. Hope to meet Hugh Laurie and with the unusual disease of my sister, wish there’s a real doctor out there that’s like him.

House is cool and they need Cuddy back on the show to make it work. And get Foreman back to being a doctor not a damn boss.

I love this show, I can relate to House cus I also have pain n need meds to help me but I dont care what people say, I speak my mind

The wonderful, beautiful way Hugh Laurie plays the character, it’s the pain he refuses to feel, it’s love, friendship. He pushes all away, anything that could make him feel.
Thats why we like House, we feel empaty and sympathy for him. We as human beings want to save him. Such is the quality of Hugh’s wonderful skills as an actor. Talent will out. Babs

I love the show, but not sure where it is going with the new characters! It seems disconnected right now!
I have a great idea for a story for the show house!

I can’t remember a new telivision series that grabbed me so quickly, as House. He says and does things his way, or Bye,Bye. I’m so SICK & TIRED of the Political Correctness, it must drive these political correctness people insane, and they won’t tell anyone, that they DO watch it, because he crosses the boundries, and does not give a danm what people think about him and his ways. I have the first four years on DVD, and can’t wait to buy the rest. If anyone wants to tell me about what happened on the latest episode, I politely ask them not to tell me, because I want to pick up from season five. If they keep yapping, I just tune them out and walk away. So far I don’t know anything about HOUSE after season four. When I do get the rest, I’ll start watching from season one, and go until I’m caught up, because I have forgotten alot of the first four years. I too hope it runs for many, many more years. I agree with some other comments that, I cannot see anyone else in that role, but Huge Laurie. Keep em comin:).

I find Gregory House interesting because he is a puzzle and I haven’t figured out where he’s coming from, yet. I wibble back and forth between being horrified by the way he interacts with others and wondering if there is some method to his madness. But I have the same ambivalence toward the show itself, wibbling back and forth between thinking it is intelligently written, and shaking my head at its supreme silliness.

“he doesn’t give a damn” That why I live thru House. He is everything I wish I cound be.

Don’t let them stop the series! The Sun wrote that Laurie’s gonna leave the series. Guys, if you want to save it, let’s do something before it’s too late! We’re collecting your voices here! If that doesn’t help, we’ll know we did all we could. http://bit.ly/tcfh5H

Don’t you think it’s interesting that episodes this season have focused on brain issues causing personality disorders? I wonder if House has a personality disorder caused by a brain malady & if he might be a patient this season.

Saw House last Monday(1-23-12). I loved it. I am a “House” fan, but I liked Taulb not being on the show, with Foreman taking a more active part. I’ve missed Forman and can always live without Taulb. I bet House could too.
