EMILY VANCAMP CONVINCED PRODUCERS TO LET HER HAVE ‘REVENGE’

Emily VanCamp stars on the new ABC hit drama Revenge,  playing a girl who seeks revenge on those who destroyed her family. VanCamp usually plays the good girl roles, and in Revenge, while she is sweet at times, she is also viscous. VanCamp told us that if the show was reality, she couldn’t do what her character is doing.  She also told us that she really had to fight for the role on the show because so many have seen her play a nice girl, such as her role in the series Brothers & Sisters.

A new episode of Revenge airs Wednesday night 10/9 central on ABC.

The X Factor Top 9 React to their Emotional “Giving Thanks” Performances

If you caught the Tuesday night “Giving Thanks” edition of The X Factor then you know it was a pretty emotionally charged evening. It’s hard to say who had the most moving performance of the night. Rachel Crow and the girls of Lakoda Rayne took the uptempo route to thank their families. LeRoy Bell and Marcus Canty’ paid moving tributes to their moms. Astro sent a redemptive thanks and personal shout out to his fans, while Drew took the very personal route and made a very heartfelt thanks to her bestie Shelby (and reminded us that we all need a Shelby). Then there was Melanie’s high octane performance that moved her so much that she laid it all out and revealed her authentic Virgin Island accent that she’s been hiding all along. Last but not least, there was Chris Rene’s courageous tribute to his rehab conselor, Tim.  We caught up with each of the contestants backstage after the tear inducing show, and asked them about their performances and how it felt.  check it out!

So the question now is will there be more tears tonight than last night? And who the heck is going to be eliminated? (BTW, is it just us or does it feel mean to be eliminating anyone on Thanksgiving week? Just saying!)  Catch tonight’s show with special performances by Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson – it all happens at 8PM ET/PT on FOX.   P.S. Stay at your TV and enjoy the rest of the evening with Howie Mandel’s latest Thanksgiving friendly special “Mobbed” – right after The X Factor.

THE X FACTOR TOP 9 TALK TURKEY ON THIS THANKSGIVING WEEK

2011 is going to be quite an unusual Thanksgiving experience for The X Factor Top 9.  On top of missing their traditional family gatherings they’re going to have to perform like they’ve never perfromed before in order to survive the double elimination on Wednesday night. As Astro, Chris, Drew, Josh, Lakoda Rayne, LeRoy, Marcus, Melanie, and Rachel prepare to show their “Thanks” in song this week, we thought it would be interesting to find out what home-cooked Thanksgiving foods they’re going to be thinking about the most .  Check it out!

So our question to you…. If you could have any X Factor contestant over for Thanksgiving – who would it be and why?  Tell us! Then make sure to tune in to The X Factor tonight for some gratitude infused performances at 8PM ET/PT on Fox and remember to VOTE! Because TWO contestants are going to be eliminated tomorrow, and that ain’t no turkey.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

GIRLS? GUYS? JESSIE J JUST FOLLOWS HER HEART

Jessie J is hot on the charts with her latest single, “Domino.”  We tracked her down in Sweden where she was performing on “Sweden Idol” and she had just a few minutes to spare with us which we totally appreciated.  The first thing we asked was where did the inspiration for “Domino” come from and you’d be surprised to find out exactly where she was at when the idea first struck her – the doctor’s office.  She had just shattered her ankle, she was in extreme pain, and instead of wailing about it, she’s thinking music.  She told her doctor, ”I just want to write a fun song that makes you want to dance and makes you feel good, and makes you feel summery and sexy.”  Pretty much the opposite of what she was feeling at that very moment.  And as they say the rest is history.  She gave us an insight into who she is and how she’s grown as an artist, as a woman and she’s definitely becoming more comfortable with herself.  She said we’ll hear a lot more of her honest self on her next album.

We’ll also get to see a side of Jessie J that we absolutely love, her sassiness.  A comment she recently made in the upcoming December issue of Cosmopolitan, the UK edition, proved to be beyond sassy.  She says, “I’ve dated guys and girls – SO WHAT?”  We asked her about that specific comment and Jessie J keeps it short and sweet because really she’s a true believer that “you just love who you love.”

WILL A BIG HOLLYWOOD MYSTERY BE SOLVED?

If you are intrigued by Hollywood legends and television shows like Cold Case, then here is a story that will interest you.  After three decades, police are reopening the investigation into the drowning death of beloved actress Natalie Wood. TMZ is reporting that new interest in the case was sparked by the account given in a new book entitled, Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour.

At the time of her death, Wood was married to actor Robert Wagner (The Pink Panther, Austin Powers, Hart To Hart), and the two of them were on their boat with their friend, actor Christopher Walken, when she fell into the ocean under mysterious circumstances.

When we talked to Wagner a few years ago while promoting the release of his biography, Pieces of My Heart, Wagner told us that he was advised by a close family friend not to talk about the circumstances of Wood’s death publicly. (Click on the audio player to hear Robert Wagner)

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Robert Wagner’s rep released a statement to TMZ stating: “Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the LA County Sheriff’s Department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the LA County Sheriff’s Dept.”

The LAPD has called a press conference for Friday at 11 am PT to discuss the reopening of the case.

‘X FACTOR’ TOP 10 FINALISTS GIVE SPECIAL THANXS

Last night was a tricky one for The X Factor contestants, as the judges seemed to feel that the Rock genre was not especially well-suited for many of them.  And those who make it through tonight’s elimination will be especially thankful that they’ve survived.  How appropriate, since we’re one week away from Thanksgiving.  This time of year allows us to reflect on what’s most important and give thanks for what we have.  We caught up with The X Factor Top 10 contestants to find out what they’re most thankful for during this festive season and they had a variety of special answers.

It’s Thursday and we all know what that means.  The results are in!  We’ll find out which contestants make it to the Top 9 during the results show, tonight November 17, at 8/7 central on FOX.
