TOM CRUISE CONTINUES TO WORK AND LEARN FROM THE BEST IN FILM

Tom Cruise has had one of the best acting careers in movie history. His career has spanned over three decades, and Cruise has shown that he is still a top actor today. His latest flick, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is currently the top movie at the box office.

Throughout his great career, Cruise has worked with the best film directors and storytellers that the big screen has ever seen. Directors such as Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, and Francis Ford Coppola are among the greats he has collaborated with. Cruise told us that he has rejoiced working with these icons, and went on to tell us that he has learned from them and continues to soak in the fine art of acting and still loves to make films. DANIEL CRAIG NEVER LOOKED AT PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF ‘THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO’

People who’ve read “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” have been waiting for the book to hit the big screen for quite some time.  After all, the book was published in 2005.  The really big fans, though, know that the entire trilogy’s been made into movies. Swedish movies.  So, when Daniel Craig was cast in the new, American version he decided not watch the foreign originals (Click on the audio player to hear Daniel Craig)

XMAS IS ADELE AND LUDACRIS’ FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR

We continue celebrating the holidays with the stars and that includes Adele who’s been recently nominated for 6 Grammy awards.  2011 began as a stellar year for her since releasing her second album, “21,” in February, and her singles “Rolling In the Deep” and “Someone Like You” have been impossible to forget.  She’s left us forever starstruck.  With all her fame, Adele has got to be one of the most humble women out there.  We recently learned that she was to embarrassed to try out for “The X Factor” when she was encouraged to do so by her parents.  They believed she was the next Mariah Carey and did they have a point.  So, with Christmas upon us, we wanted to know why Christmas was her favorite holiday especially growing up back home in London. (Click on the audio player to hear Adele)

Then there’s the world-class actor and rapper, Ludacris.  When it comes to Christmas, Luda is quite the giver.  This year he donated toys, coats, hats and gloves to a group of almost 300 Atlanta area kids.  He likes to call this time of year ”LudaChristmas.”  Along with gift-giving, you can catch Ludacris on the big screen this season in the new movie, “New Year’s Eve” also starring Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker and many more.  Chris “Ludacris” Bridges plays Brendan, a member of the New York Police Department who shares his friend Claire’s (played by Hilary Swank) pressing secret that will be unveiled later that night.  Ludacris certainly doesn’t put all his talents in just one basket, he’s also an entrepreneur, a promoter to his Conjure liquor brand, a designer of Soul by Ludacris headphones, and a philanthropist.  So what’s in store for Ludacris this Christmas?  Well we asked him and we almost invited ourselves over to dinner because it sounds like so much fun! (Click on audio player to hear Ludacris).

MADONNA EXPRESSES HERSELF BEHIND THE CAMERA IN ‘W.E.’

Madonna has now stepped behind the cameras directing her second feature film, W.E., which is a romantic drama. As many know, Madonna is a perfectionist at everything she does. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to have fun at the same time. While directing a film, there is a lot of down time between filming scenes, and when working with a musical icon like Madonna, there has to be music, right? Madonna explains that to pass time waiting they had sing-a-longs on set.  (Click on the audio player to hear Madonna)

W.E. is now playing in theatres in limited release for award consideration, and will have a wider release on February 3, 2012.

JEREMY RENNER: JOSS WHEDON WAS THE RIGHT PERSON TO HELM ‘THE AVENGERS’

Academy Award nominated actor Jeremy Renner is currently one of the most in demand actors in films.  Renner, who currently stars with Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, will be seen in one of the most anticipated films of next summer, The Avengers.  The Avengers will feature Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk, among others.

Renner will reprise his role of Clint Barton/Hawkeye, who was seen in last summer’s Marvel film Thor. Renner tells us that the scope of The Avengers is huge, and that no one knows this world better than director Joss Whedon, who wrote, produced and directed the film. (Click on the audio player to hear Jeremy Renner)

WHY ‘SHERLOCK’S’ DOWNEY & LAW MAKE A GREAT TEAM

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law both reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows which opened in theatres today. Just like in the last Sherlock Holmes film back in 2009 but Downey Jr and Law have great onscreen chemistry together which Downey attributes to Law’s work ethic.
