‘TOUCH’ STARS TALK ABOUT THE DEEPENING MYSTERY
“Touch” reached a turning point in its first season last Thursday night, as one character — Arthur Teller (Danny Glover) — was lost, and another — Clea Hopkins (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) — found herself more invested than ever in finding out more about the strange goings-on that now surround her.
So this coming Thursday’s episode promises to be an interesting one, as the mystery surrounding Jake Bohm’s (David Mazouz) abilities and Teller’s death deepens even further.
Compounding the drama is Jake’s aunt (Catherine Dent), who initiates a custody battle to try and pry Jake away from his father, Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland).
Fox All Access caught up with Sutherland and Mbatha-Raw at a “Touch” red carpet event in Hollywood this week, and producer Jeff Axelrod spoke to the stars about the new shifts in the series’ storyline.
All-new episodes of “Touch” air Thursday nights at 9/8c on Fox.

There should have been a ’6′ right after the ’5′ and before the ’1188′ in Thursday’s episode ending. Was that intentional? And I wonder about the number of people who spotted the omission…(or am I just too much of a huge fan of the show?)

What an amazing show! I don’t pretend to be a mathematician, but I do believe that we are all connected. Thank you for airing such a meaningful series.

-Berni: I noticed that too. It was so important in a previous episode that I was surprised it was missed. I didn’t think that it might have been intentional? I love the interconnectedness theme – mapping, etc.

I noticed the 6 missing but there was another thing I noticed a couple weeks ago. When Martin was reading in the Bible (Exodus 22:22) He actually read verse 4 not 22. I looked it up in my Bible and the verse about the fatherless is actually verse 22. So what was he reading? are there actually prop Bibles? that arent correct? weird…

LOVE this show! I missed the 6 but did know I had missed something. Miss Danny Glover. I do believe there is a connection between many people and find the concept amazing.

Love this show, it shows how we are all connected, and the things that go on around us that most of us miss, because we are not paying attention to real life.Miss Danny ,too!

I am an avid fan of both father and son since the beginning of their careers. Twenty-four was awesome, Touch is a stroke of genious, the writing or (storytelling) is unlike any program on today. Mr. Sutherland, I am transform every thursday night.

Not wishing to brag in any way but I am a Chemistry, Nuclear Physics and Computer Science expert. This program is a miracle. If some people see a number missing or the wrong text in the bible, that’s great. Everyone will see something different like in a great work of art. I hope this program has a chance to get established and Fox keeps it going. I realize that it will go above most people’s heads but for the people that do recognize it for how special it is, it is like a true breath of fresh air. We are all connected in some way that we can’t even hope to perceive, but maybe if we look a little deeper into things, not unusual things just everyday things we all may just become a little bit more in tune with the world.

Ok, I’ve worked with nuclear blueprints, piece parts, etc, big deal. So now I think Tim King should link into the study of the most complex object in the realm of mathematics –the fractal geometry Mandelbrot Set. Let’s see what Jake can then do via the writing of adding more senses of numbers…Go, have fun mesmerizing the “Touch” audience. I look forward to whatever you bring and how you ignite us with numbers in our lives,

I love this show. And for me, it has felt like audience participation since the beginning, because of how I found it. I rarely watch TV, but one evening last January I had the rare impulse to just turn it on, and as I flipped through the menu, the title “Touch” caught my eye. It was the pilot, right at the beginning. I watched and found that the show was all about synchronicity, and coincidences that aren’t coincidence, and “I was MEANT to find you,” etc — and the synchronistic way that I found it made me feel enfolded right into the story. I am sure that the writers and staff could tell a lot of stories about odd synchronicities that happen behind the scenes. Those are signposts if we pay attention. Keep following the guidance! You are all Jake! Like Jake’s numbers, the show is “meant” to communicate something to us, about higher intelligences, about trusting even when we cannot understand. It’s all coming out of the closet now!

in tin knowing how we are all connected like string any one be;ieves in god this makes sense for god to connect all of us everywhere

I was relieved when Jake added the “6″ in last night’s episode and am interested to see what will become of the mystery surrounding the girl/woman in room number “6″.
I love the use of ancient math/philosophy combined with modern-day science set in a global human setting of cause-effect and synchronicity. Refreshing and timely! I eagerly look forward to the show every week!
I wonder if die-hard fans noticed the pattern of red (in addition to the triangle theme) connected to each of the main characters in last week’s episode? Jake’s Aunts business card denoted a triangle + the pyramid behind the French woman on the live large screen in the museum + the triangle connecting the space station to Houston and Florida — not only did each character have an immediate connection to a triangle but all three created a triangle themselves.
Red = Jake’s string from which he repeatedly created triangle from was red, Jake’s shirt was red, the French woman’s coat was red, and the and the astronaut’s shirt was red.
So there were at least three red triangles in the show = the red string triangle, the red drawing by the astronaut, and the red triangle they created between themselves
Keep up the interesting work!

I love this show, I don’t watch a lot of television but make a point to watch each episode so far. I love the premise, and the positive approach it takes towards the world. I’ve also become interested in looking into a lot of facts out there and what the show is based on. Discovered the fibonacci number sequence in nature, and started thinking, can be actually apply to everything in reality? I am sure there is a lot out there that exists that we don’t understand as yet and find it all intriguing, inspiring and fascinating.

At the end of this week’s episode it was mentioned that next week will be a 2 hour special presentation of Touch; presumably, the final show of the season.
Question: Since none of the on-line (or newspaper) schedules show a 2 hour time slot for this show, is it on from 8:00 to 10:00 EDT or 9:00 to 11:00?

please dont let this program end. love it ,have loved keiffer for years

Absolutely love the show very thought provoking. Mathematics as the language of a Universe reflecting upon itself, happy to see, feel, commune and Live. Rarely have I seen seen such an optimistic take on humanity turned universal turned individual. Love the wandering phone and the Dad looking at photos of his daughter in the middle of Tokyo. Oh that translation app uploaded it on my phone

I love this show and look forward to seeing whats next each weak.If I work I make certain it gets recorded so I don’t miss an episode.I used to watch Heroes with equal loyalty.I just wish the networks(all of them)would stop cancelling the great programing when they get hits like heroes and increase the length of the seasons. I was extremely angry when heroes stopped.I felt like we were left hanging on a story that wasn’t and shouldn’t have been done yet!please don’t limit the genious behind touch. It seems to me the posibilities for this show are limitless.

Finally, a show that isn’t “dumbed down!” I love that you have to think about what’s happening; and it’s great to try and figure out who is connected to whom, and how they are connected. I also like that the concept that science and spirituality are not mutually exclusive.
By: Linda K - Posted May 18th, 2012 3:48pm
Jake wrote the 6 into the number sequence later, on the blackboard, where it was omitted, while Martin and social worker weren’t paying attention.

Haven’t missed a show this season. Loved the final episode tonight to end the season. Not a cliffhanger and that was nice. Can’t wait for next year! Thanks for bringing a show that is complex to my TV.

Just saw the season finale. How excellent! Now they are fugitives on the run! They will be moving from place to place changing people’s lives and changing the world. What a juicy and promising setup.

I really love this show!! What I want to know is when does the next “season” start. Do we really have to wait until Fall? I feel as if a great friend is leaving for the summer.

Wonderful show. When will it return?

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and depth of Touch. Having followed the whole season, I believe in its excellence and hope this is only the beginning of seasons to come. It’s amazing that something this awesome has made it to the network and have nothing but praise for the executive(s) who made this happen. Sure would like to get David’s take on it all. He handles it like a pro and is part of an outstanding cast, well put together.

I remember a few years ago when a show planned to get more advertising time, and thus revenue, by eliminating its theme song. I’ve watched and heard the theme from Touch a few dozen times and I still watch every second of it, right to the stutter ending. But I’ve really got to give it up for the Touch writers. This is the most intelligently written, creative dramas of the last decade. If I had time and could do it, I’d write a personal thank-you to each one of them. A great actor is nothing without the pure talent of the great writer. Kudos, guys and gals!

I absolutely LOVE this show! It has been hard for me to catch all episodes- aired in my area one night on Wed. instead of Thurs.- thanks FOX for putting them on the website so I could catch up! I can’t wait for the next episodes! It would be helpful if the schedule for new episodes was posted on the website, or somewhere, so I would not miss one! I guess it will start again in the fall? (Not really sure.) Way too long to be without my “TOUCH”!

Touch is a 10-fold manifestation of forward thinking people. To have this degree of Spirit and Connection presented in such an intelligent and creative way deserves KUDO’s unending. I started watching and recording from day one, and have since replayed all the episodes sharing them with friends. The conversations that are sparked are WONDERful and uplifting. The team has set a bar for television that I hope more shows attempt to reach for. Quality, talent, and vision. THANK YOU– let’s have many more seasons to look forward to and discuss.

Very moving. Am interested in the human stories and the lessons they tell. I cry easily and do so in every episode. Like chicken soup for the soul

What a fantastic show! How unique to have a show that actually makes you think! TV has had few and far between ability to develop such interesting characters in such brief encounters. And while there is mystery, conspiracy and action, there is still the underlying story of a father trying to reach his “special” son—this in and of itself is a worthy story.
I can only hope Fox continues to support this show even if the number of viewers don’t stack up against endless singing contests or reality shows. It is by far one of the best dramas on TV, now or in the past, having to go back to The Night Caller, to find such interesting stories.

This is one of the best shows on TV – if not THE best. I recorded every episode and my husband and I began watching after the season finale. We loved to figure out how things and people were connected and to see recurring characters. I hope Fox continues to produce it – since 24 is no longer available.

I would like to know if and when this show will continue? I also enjoyed watching from beginning to ending and found an allegory in each episode.
