At the age of 21, Ed Sheeran has already conquered the UK music charts, with a platinum-selling album and a string of four consecutive Top 10 hits.
Now, he’s set his sights on America, and he’s already won over a lot of fans — including Taylor Swift, who’s asked him to help her write songs for her next album!
His first single, “The A Team,” has already started to climb the charts — and if you haven’t heard it, well, it has absolutely nothing to do with the TV show or movie. It is, however, a powerful, moving song — and if you haven’t seen the live rendition he recorded especially for us, you should.
Along with the live session, Ed talked with Fox All Access host Chris Leary about the song and its inspirations, along with plenty of other things, including his beginnings as a musician, his work ethic, and how he landed some prime gigs during his very first visit to Los Angeles.
So take a look at the interview, then check out Ed Sheeran’s debut album, “+.”
We were stoked when Gavin DeGraw recently stopped by to visit Fox All Access. We love this guy! The first thing he did? He sweetly serenaded us with his hit song “Sweeter,” which left us wanting more so we decided to have a little chat with Mr. DeGraw. He just hit the road for a summer tour with fellow friends, Colbie Caillat and Andy Grammer. Gavin is having a ball on the road. He says his tour mates are awesome, amazing, really cool and great artists. One of the funniest things that’s happened on tour so far in Gavin’s opinion is Colbie Caillat being attacked in Pittsburgh, not by fans, but by bugs on stage. The tour idea became real after Gavin began working on music with Colbie over at her place and as he put it, “it just felt right.” We were happy to see that Gavin continues to have a great attitude about life, especially after his accident not too long ago. This guys deserves nothing but the best. He’s genuine, authentic and very talented. Check out our interview with Gavin DeGraw and make sure to catch him out on tour along with Colbie Caillat and Andy Grammer. Enjoy part 1 of this interview, part 2 is coming soon!
Gavin DeGraw has a new song and it’s pretty sweet, it’s called “Sweeter.” He sounds really bluesy on this hit which Gavin attributes to traveling, “the road brings on the smoke in your voice,” he says. He co-wrote the song with Onerepublic’s Ryan Tedder which was a new departure for Gavin. He wanted to get out of his comfort zone and he thought it was about time to mix things up a bit. As a songwriter he felt like he needed someone to “rattle his cage.” Gavin and Ryan worked on the song in Nashville at Blackbird Studios which was where Kings of Leon made their big “Sex On Fire” record and he felt it was a really good vibey place to make his record. Gavin describes his single “Sweeter” as a mix between Black Keyes meets Sly and the Family Stone . So, what do y’all think? You agree with Gavin DeGraw? Let us know!

We were excited when Matt Nathanson and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles released their ’Run’ video last month, but it was even more exciting when Matt decided to stop by and pay Fox All Access a little visit.
Matt has admitted in the past that he’s a huge nerd when it comes to music. When he was a young boy, he was influenced by bands like Kiss and when the ’80s rolled around he was gravitating towards the female songwriters like Tracy Chapman and the Indigo Girls. Nowadays, Matt is inspired by his own music. He feels like this album, “Modern Love,” is taking on a life of its own.
He appreciates how it touches and affects his fans, even some of his fellow musician friends. He was surprised to hear Taylor Swift had written lyrics from his song, “Queen Of (K)nots,” on her arm. Those type of expressions mean a lot to him and he just simply thinks it’s neat.
Listen in on what else Matt had to say when he was in the studio with us!
