At the age of 21, Ed Sheeran has already conquered the UK music charts, with a platinum-selling album and a string of four consecutive Top 10 hits.
Now, he’s set his sights on America, and he’s already won over a lot of fans — including Taylor Swift, who’s asked him to help her write songs for her next album!
His first single, “The A Team,” has already started to climb the charts — and if you haven’t heard it, well, it has absolutely nothing to do with the TV show or movie. It is, however, a powerful, moving song — and if you haven’t seen the live rendition he recorded especially for us, you should.
Along with the live session, Ed talked with Fox All Access host Chris Leary about the song and its inspirations, along with plenty of other things, including his beginnings as a musician, his work ethic, and how he landed some prime gigs during his very first visit to Los Angeles.
So take a look at the interview, then check out Ed Sheeran’s debut album, “+.”
In the vein of Justin Bieber’s documentary film Never Say Never, Katy Perry is following in his footsteps with her new film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, which follows her life on and off the stage. Yesterday in London, Perry surprised a young audience with an appearance and a screening of the film. Fans were surprised by Perry’s showing. Take a look at the video and you will see why Perry is one of the top (and nicest) superstars in the world.
We were stoked when Gavin DeGraw recently stopped by to visit Fox All Access. We love this guy! The first thing he did? He sweetly serenaded us with his hit song “Sweeter,” which left us wanting more so we decided to have a little chat with Mr. DeGraw. He just hit the road for a summer tour with fellow friends, Colbie Caillat and Andy Grammer. Gavin is having a ball on the road. He says his tour mates are awesome, amazing, really cool and great artists. One of the funniest things that’s happened on tour so far in Gavin’s opinion is Colbie Caillat being attacked in Pittsburgh, not by fans, but by bugs on stage. The tour idea became real after Gavin began working on music with Colbie over at her place and as he put it, “it just felt right.” We were happy to see that Gavin continues to have a great attitude about life, especially after his accident not too long ago. This guys deserves nothing but the best. He’s genuine, authentic and very talented. Check out our interview with Gavin DeGraw and make sure to catch him out on tour along with Colbie Caillat and Andy Grammer. Enjoy part 1 of this interview, part 2 is coming soon!
Sitting at the American Idol Judges’ table may have kept Steven Tyler extremely busy the first half of 2012, but it certainly didn’t prevent him from working on projects of a more personal nature. “We’re ready,,, ripe, ready, and pregnant!” says Tyler. Hearing the ”P” word come out of Tyler’s mouth is certainly worth a jaw drop, until you realize it’s really Tyler’s poetic way of describing the time, energy, and effort it’s taken for Aerosmith’s upcoming summer tour and album to gestate.
It’s no wonder Tyler would use a child bearing term to describe the process, especially with Joe Perry confirming that the album in fact had been started three or four times before.
Regardless of how long it’s taken, the band has their new songs and they’re ready to kick off ”The Global Warming North American Tour” June 16th in Minneapolis, MN. The new Aerosmith album, “Music From Another Dimension” is set to enter the world September 1 (according to Tyler).
We caught up with Steven and Joe who took a few minutes to explain their touring preparation process, describe the spin of the upcoming album, and even shared what they appreicate about each other. Check it out:
Are you ready to hear some new Aerosmith? Planning on experiencing the melt down that is the Global Warming Tour? Share your thoughts!
