How many of you are excited that Snow Patrol’s new album, Fallen Empires, is out and dying to jump into your hands? We are! The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum UK band rang in 2012 in a big way…with the release of their sixth studio album. It took them a little over 3 years to complete what singer Gary Lightbody calls, “a massively ambitious record.” We talked to Gary today about what he considered the most challenging part of making Fallen Empires. To our surprise it was writing the songs, finding words to put on paper. He was experiencing something he wasn’t used to – writer’s block. (Click on audio player to hear Gary Lightbody)

Gary admitted the struggle was worth the fight. What at first frustrated him was really a blessing in disguise. He was challenged to think about everything in a new way including songwriting, and once that reality settled in…Fallen Empires was complete. He’s really happy with the words. We asked him to tell us what this new album is all about, it’s personal story and what it means to him personally. (Click on audio player to hear Gary Lightbody)

She also told us that she has a maternity line coming out as well
We were saddened to hear the recent announcement of Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorce. We were really rooting for these two since Katy is such a sweetheart and Russell seems like a genuinely nice guy. We have complete faith in both of them that they will grow from this experience and become even stronger individuals. As Katy moves forward, she can rely on her friends and family to be by her side and support her decisions along this journey. Although it’s not nearly the same magnitude, Katy has been through hardships before with her career especially when she was first starting out in the business. She was gracious and facetious about reminding us when we asked her were there tough times and how she handles them. (Click on audio player to hear Katy Perry)

It’s undenibale how talented Katy Perry is and it’s so easy to gravitate towards her especially with those big blue eyes gazing at you, but unfortunately along with fame comes a price. We asked Katy what she hopes never changes about her as time goes on. (Click on audio player to hear Katy Perry)
