THE FRAY’S NEW SINGLE HAS A ‘HEART’

The rock group The Fray have been on the music scene since 2002.  Since that time, the band has had a few hit songs that have topped the charts including Over my head (Cable car), How to Save a Life, and You Found Me. The band currently has another hit single, Heartbeat, which is quickly climbing the charts, and they told us that the single is based on an emotional visit they had visiting the Genocide Museum in Washington D.C. YOUR FAVORITE CELEBS DISH ON THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving — it’s a time for family, a time for food, a time for tradition, and a time for reflection.  (And, for some, a time to rest up for Black Friday.)  As Americans from coast to coast prepare to celebrate, we spoke to some of your favorite stars about the holiday.

The X Factor Top 9 React to their Emotional “Giving Thanks” Performances

If you caught the Tuesday night “Giving Thanks” edition of The X Factor then you know it was a pretty emotionally charged evening. It’s hard to say who had the most moving performance of the night. Rachel Crow and the girls of Lakoda Rayne took the uptempo route to thank their families. LeRoy Bell and Marcus Canty’ paid moving tributes to their moms. Astro sent a redemptive thanks and personal shout out to his fans, while Drew took the very personal route and made a very heartfelt thanks to her bestie Shelby (and reminded us that we all need a Shelby). Then there was Melanie’s high octane performance that moved her so much that she laid it all out and revealed her authentic Virgin Island accent that she’s been hiding all along. Last but not least, there was Chris Rene’s courageous tribute to his rehab conselor, Tim.  We caught up with each of the contestants backstage after the tear inducing show, and asked them about their performances and how it felt.  check it out!

So the question now is will there be more tears tonight than last night? And who the heck is going to be eliminated? (BTW, is it just us or does it feel mean to be eliminating anyone on Thanksgiving week? Just saying!)  Catch tonight’s show with special performances by Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson – it all happens at 8PM ET/PT on FOX.   P.S. Stay at your TV and enjoy the rest of the evening with Howie Mandel’s latest Thanksgiving friendly special “Mobbed” – right after The X Factor.

THE X FACTOR TOP 9 TALK TURKEY ON THIS THANKSGIVING WEEK

2011 is going to be quite an unusual Thanksgiving experience for The X Factor Top 9.  On top of missing their traditional family gatherings they’re going to have to perform like they’ve never perfromed before in order to survive the double elimination on Wednesday night. As Astro, Chris, Drew, Josh, Lakoda Rayne, LeRoy, Marcus, Melanie, and Rachel prepare to show their “Thanks” in song this week, we thought it would be interesting to find out what home-cooked Thanksgiving foods they’re going to be thinking about the most .  Check it out!

So our question to you…. If you could have any X Factor contestant over for Thanksgiving – who would it be and why?  Tell us! Then make sure to tune in to The X Factor tonight for some gratitude infused performances at 8PM ET/PT on Fox and remember to VOTE! Because TWO contestants are going to be eliminated tomorrow, and that ain’t no turkey.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

GIRLS? GUYS? JESSIE J JUST FOLLOWS HER HEART

Jessie J is hot on the charts with her latest single, “Domino.”  We tracked her down in Sweden where she was performing on “Sweden Idol” and she had just a few minutes to spare with us which we totally appreciated.  The first thing we asked was where did the inspiration for “Domino” come from and you’d be surprised to find out exactly where she was at when the idea first struck her – the doctor’s office.  She had just shattered her ankle, she was in extreme pain, and instead of wailing about it, she’s thinking music.  She told her doctor, ”I just want to write a fun song that makes you want to dance and makes you feel good, and makes you feel summery and sexy.”  Pretty much the opposite of what she was feeling at that very moment.  And as they say the rest is history.  She gave us an insight into who she is and how she’s grown as an artist, as a woman and she’s definitely becoming more comfortable with herself.  She said we’ll hear a lot more of her honest self on her next album.

We’ll also get to see a side of Jessie J that we absolutely love, her sassiness.  A comment she recently made in the upcoming December issue of Cosmopolitan, the UK edition, proved to be beyond sassy.  She says, “I’ve dated guys and girls – SO WHAT?”  We asked her about that specific comment and Jessie J keeps it short and sweet because really she’s a true believer that “you just love who you love.”

‘X FACTOR’S’ SCHERZINGER GOES FROM PCD TO ‘MIB’

We’re starting to wonder when — or if — Nicole Scherzinger ever gets a chance to sleep.  Not only is she a judge and mentor on Fos’s “The X Factor,” she’s also preparing for the release of her first American solo album, “Killer Love.”  And on top of that, Scherzinger recently filmed a cameo for the movie “Men in Black III,” starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.  She told us exclusively that she’s shot scenes with “Flight of the Conchords” star Jemaine Clement, and though she hasn’t done any on-screen work with Smith, he welcomed her to the production with open arms. (Click on the audio player to hear  Nicole Scherzinger)

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

“Men in Black III” will open in theaters next Memorial Day weekend.  In the meantime, you can watch Scherzinger on “The X Factor,” airing Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8/7c on Fox.

‘HOUSE’ THEME ALL RAPPED UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Hey, “House” fans!  We dug up a little something from across the pond we thought you might find interesting.

“House’s” theme song, Massive Attack’s “Teardrop,” has been reworked by several UK artists as a rap.

Not only does the new version of the song have an inspirational message, it’s also got a good cause: The BBC recruited the artists to record the single as part of its 2011 “Children In Need” campaign.

The campaign also includes a huge concert taking place Thursday night in England, featuring Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Jessie J, Snow Patrol, Michael Buble… and yes, “House’s” Hugh Laurie.

So check out the new version of “Teardrop,” and tell us what you think.
