RIMA FAKIH: MISS USA LOOKS FOR LOVE ON ‘THE CHOICE’

Seriously? A Miss USA winner hasn’t been able to find a man to date?

Believe it or not, it’s true!

Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih, a 26-year-old Lebanese beauty from Michigan, hasn’t been able to find Mr. Right on her own, so she’s hoping she might be able to change her luck on national TV. This Thursday night, she’ll be a contestant on Fox’s hit dating show, “The Choice,” along with Carmen Electra, Sophie Monk, and model Hope Dworaczyk.

When Fox All Access host Chris Leary got to spend a few minutes backstage at the “American Idol” finale with Rima Fakih, as you’ll see in this video, he found out exactly why these beautiful women haven’t been able to meet their soulmates yet.

“The Choice” airs Thursday night at 9/8c after “Take Me Out” on Fox.

‘MADAGASCAR’S’ BEN STILLER: FUNNY RUNS IN THE FAMILY

Ben Stiller grew up in a show business family, as his parents are famed comedic team Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara (they were called Stiller and Meara). Some children go the opposite way career wise from their parents, but Stiller admits he loved movies as a kid and was determined to follow in his parents’ footsteps. It’s amazing to think that The Ben Stiller Show debuted over twenty years ago (1992) and he directed (and starred) in the 1994 feature Reality Bites. Now he’s one of the many voices in the family film Madagascar 3, which is out in theatres now.

CAN BRANDON ROUTH STILL SOAR AFTER ‘SUPERMAN’?

Brandon Routh’s star was expected to reach new heights with the release of the 2006 feature Superman Returns, director Bryan Singer’s loving homage to Richard Donner’s first rate feature Superman.  Unfortunately, the film, although it turned a decent box office profit, did not perform up to expectations, putting a stall on Routh’s career.  Past Superman actors Christopher Reeve and George Reeves tried their best to shed the Man of Steel image, with Reeve actually having a solid career beyond the cape.

The question is if Routh, who has starred in independent films since Superman Returns, will find a role that will put him back in the spotlight.  The actor, who stars in the upcoming CBS sitcom Partners, says though he’s grateful for the iconic role but he is determined to carve out his own path.  (Click on the audio player to hear Brandon Routh)

GEORGE LOPEZ GIVES HIS TAKE ON ‘TAKE ME OUT’

This week FOX premieres two new dating shows, TAKE ME OUT and THE CHOICE.

In TAKE ME OUT, hosted by actor/comedian George Lopez, 30 single beautiful women are introduced to several bachelors one at a time. Each woman stands at a lighted podium with a switch that controls her fate for a date: if she likes the looks of the guy, she keeps her light on; if she’s not impressed, then it’s lights out and she waits for the next potential Mr. Right. After several rounds, the bachelor takes his pick from the women who still have their lights on and the two enjoy a romantic fantasy date at the TAKE ME OUT resort.  The remaining 29, plus one new woman, return during the next game for another chance at finding the guy who will light up their lives.

FOX All Access host Chris Leary caught up with Lopez to get the lowdown on the show, and find out his take on the bachelors. Check it out.

Catch ‘Take Me Out’ and “The Choice” this summer! You’ll find them both on your TV, Thursday nights at 8/7c on FOX.

STEVEN TYLER “RIPE, READY, AND PREGNANT!”

Sitting at the American Idol Judges’ table may have kept Steven Tyler extremely busy the first half of 2012, but it certainly didn’t prevent him from working on projects of a more personal nature. “We’re ready,,, ripe, ready, and pregnant!” says Tyler. Hearing the ”P” word come out of Tyler’s mouth is certainly worth a jaw drop, until you realize it’s really Tyler’s poetic way of describing the time, energy, and effort it’s taken for Aerosmith’s upcoming summer tour and album to gestate.

It’s no wonder Tyler would use a child bearing term to describe the process, especially with Joe Perry confirming that the album in fact had been started three or four times before.

Regardless of how long it’s taken, the band has their new songs and they’re ready to kick off  ”The Global Warming North American Tour” June 16th in Minneapolis, MN. The new Aerosmith album, “Music From Another Dimension” is set to enter the world September 1 (according to Tyler).

We caught up with Steven and Joe who took a few minutes to explain their touring preparation process, describe the spin of the upcoming album, and even shared what they appreicate about each other.  Check it out:

Are you ready to hear some new Aerosmith? Planning on experiencing the melt down that is the Global Warming Tour? Share your thoughts!

LANCE HENRIKSEN WANTS A ‘MILLENNIUM’ MOVIE

Throughout his career, Lance Henriksen has had a stable career in both film and television, but it’s his work as the android Bishop in Aliens and as the mysterious Frank Black in Millennium, an underrated supernatural drama from X-Files creator Chris Carter, which stand as his trademark roles. Although it’s been off the air for 12 years, Millennium still retains a diehard following, and Henriksen believes that if a low budget Millennium is ever made, it would be a hit for 20th Century Fox. Henriksen, who’s currently voicing the part of the villain Teasler in the Disney XD series Tron: Uprising, adds that he wrote an introduction for an upcoming Millennium novel.
