Jaleel White who is currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, was a huge television star in the 90′s starring as loveable nerd Steven Urkel on the family sitcom Family Matters. During Urkel’s pop culture apex, the character inspired The Urkel Doll, and even the cereal Urkel-Os.
We spoke to White and asked if he still keeps any of the Urkel merchandise. White, being a practical adult, explains why having Urkel collectibles around the house could be a buzzkill, especially if one is in a romantic mood.
Last Monday night, Fox’s hit “Bones” added another 300 bones to its cast: Booth and Brennan’s new baby! (Yes, as Brennan could tell you, although an adult human has 206 bones, babies are born with 300, some of which fuse together as the child grows.) Ever since they found out that Booth and Brennan were expecting, the show’s fans have been anxiously anticipating the blessed event, and wondering how the child will change the dynamic between the characters. Emily Deschanel thinks the baby is a welcome addition to the show. She finds it refreshing that, after seven and a half seasons, Brennan now faces a challenge she’s never dealt with before — and, as a new mother herself, she knows a lot of the show’s fans will be able to relate to what it’s like to be a new parent.
Chaos reigned backstage after another emotional “American Idol” elimination show tonight. Fox All Access fought through the hordes of young fans scrambling to get a look at British boy band The Wanted and managed to catch up with “Idol” judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson after the broadcast, which saw Deandre Brackensick leave the competition.
The judges talked about his departure and how critical song selection and great performances will be moving forward, now that there are only seven “Idol” hopefuls remaining.
“Idol” returns next Wednesday night, as those seven finalists sing for a spot in the Top 6.
