KYRA SEDGWICK NEVER ‘CLOSES’ THE DOOR ON FANS

It has been a great year for Kyra Sedgwick. Last Sunday, she won her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, for her starring role in The Closer.  Prior to coming to television, Sedgwick had a successful movie career, acting in movies with A-list stars Julia Roberts and John Travolta, to name a few.  Sedgwick always received good reviews for her movies, but has now found a home on a hit television series, and loves the impact she has on the fans of the show.  (Cick on the audio player to hear Kyra Sedgwick)

IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE, IT’S BRANDON ROUTH?

Is Brandon Routh returning to play Superman in the next Superman movie? Reports are circulating that Routh is being considered to reprise his role in Superman: Man of Steel, currently scheduled for release in 2012.  Routh has told the press, “I certainly would love to return to my character but it’s not within my power.”

Routh starred as Superman in the 2006 film, Superman Returns (which was directed by Bryan Singer, of the first two X-Men Movies). Although the movie was a box office hit and movie critics gave it positive reviews, the fans seemed disappointed with the film, after comparing it to the previous, classic Superman movies.

Superman: Man of Steel will be produced by Christopher Nolan, and written by David Goyer (who also wrote The Dark Knight).  With this team, the next Superman flick is certainly in good hands.  Should the filmmakers bring back Brandon Routh? Or should someone new play Superman?  Let us know what you think!

‘LAW & ORDER’S’ DEMISE DISAPPOINTING, BUT INEVITABLE, SAYS ITS CREATOR

It’s hard to imagine television today without the iconic police and court drama,  the original Law & Order on the air.  For 20 seasons the show captivated audiences.  Had it gone on for another season, it would have broken the record currently held by Gunsmoke, as the longest television show to be on the air.

The creator of the show, Dick Wolf, who also created Law & Order: SVU, and the new series Law & Order: Los Angeles (which will premiere this season), told us that while he and his producing partner, Rene Blacer, are disappointed that the show has ended, all things must come to an end.  (Click ont he audio player to hear Dick Wolf)

TRAVIE McCOY: ENJOY THE MUSIC, DON’T OVERANALYZE IT

Breaking up is hard to do, and Travie McCoy knows a thing or two about that.  It’s been said that his debut solo album, “Lazarus,” reflects his heartbreak and attempt to move forward in life.  The culprit?  The ever-so lovely Katy Perry.  The funny thing is, the same has been said about songs off of her most recent album, “Teenage Dream,” and how they’re being directed at Travie.  One in particular, “Circle The Drain,” says, “I’m not sticking around to watch you go down. Wanna be your lover, not your f***ing mother. Can’t be your savior, I don’t have the power I’m not gonna stay and watch you circle the drain.” Ouch!  Although, on Travie’s “Don’t Pretend,” he seems to be laying a guilt trip on her for breaking his heart with the words, “open up my chest and you’ll see a cold cavity where my heart use to be.”  Everyone can speculate what’s really being said, but Foxallaccess.com went straight to Travie McCoy to get his take.  When it comes to people reading hidden meanings into his lyrics, does it amuse or annoy him? (Click on audio player to hear Travie McCoy)

JAYMA MAYS IS EXCITED FOR EMMA IN THE NEW SEASON OF ‘GLEE’

You’ve probably heard that former “Full House” heartthrob John Stamos has joined the cast of “Glee” in a recurring role for the show’s second season.  And we’re sure that many of you are very excited about the news — though probably not as excited as the woman who will be sharing the most screen time with him, Jayma Mays.  When we spoke to her on the red carpet, she could barely contain her enthusiasm about working with Stamos and the new directions her character, Emma Pillsbury, will be going in this season.  “Glee’s” sophomore season begins Tuesday, September 21 on Fox.
