Kathy Griffin, a comedienne who never minces words, has become a fixture of the Bravo family thanks to the success of her reality series “My Life on the D-List.” Griffin, however, can’t stay on the D-List forever, and now she’s expanding her creative horizons with the new talk show “Kathy.” The program offers Griffin’s candidly brutal take on celebrities, politicians, co-workers, and her boxed wine swilling mom Maggie. When we spoke to Griffin about the program, she told us the talk show is going to be a true reflection of her own personality, warts and all. (Click on the audio player to hear Kathy Griffin)

Although he’s one of television’s most influential and powerful voices, Seth MacFarlane understands that Family Guy’s first rate comedy doesn’t always hinge on his brain power. MacFarlane credits his “phenomenal” writing staff for the show’s continued success. Having a workaholic like MacFarlane also helps, as the group will stay up until the wee hours of the morning to ensure a top notch Family Guy episode. Anna Faris, seen last year opposite Chris Evans in What’s Your Number, teams with Sacha Baron Cohen in his latest film “The Dictator.” Cohen is known for his controversial and raucous humor, and any comedy which centers on the misadventures of an oppressive leader should draw its share of detractors. For anyone who believes Cohen is a little out there, Anna just confirmed the rumors! (Click on the audio player to hear Anna Faris)

The takeaway from The Dark Knight Rises trailer is that Bruce Wayne, scarred from his conflicts with the Joker and physically beaten to a pulp by Bane (Tom Hardy), is a completely broken man. Gotham is now putty in Bane’s hands, and like the Joker, Bane just wants to see the city’s destruction. Director Christopher Nolan has imbued his Batman trilogy with a deft mixture of crowd pleasing, kinetic action and deep, soul wrenching characterizations that’s usually absent from big budget comic book driven features. Let us know your thoughts on the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, which should be a fitting end to a spellbinding, if not tragic, journey.

Tonight’s episode of House marks Hugh Laurie’s second time behind the camera, and even though he is the series star, Laurie admits that directing is daunting and challenging. There are so many elements to directing, and leading a dedicated crew and making a slew of creative decisions calls for an innate multi-tasker. Even with all these responsibilities, directing, to Laurie, is simply “thrilling.”
With three episodes remaining (including an all-new episode tonight), Season 7 of “Bones” will soon be coming to an end. Because of Emily Deschanel’s maternity leave, it became the show’s second “mini-season” (only 15 episodes were filmed for the strike-shortened third season).
When Fox All Access spoke to TJ Thyne, who plays Dr. Jack Hodgins on the show, he admitted that filming only 13 episodes — with a large break in the middle — made this an odd year for the show.
However, he also describes it as a year in which the show was in a great creative groove, and he says the atmosphere on the set was an extremely happy one. (Click on the audio player to hear TJ Thyne.)
