According toEW.com, Jennifer Lopez will not be joining the American Idol judging panel when the singing competition returns in January on FOX.
Rumor had it that the deal was in the final stages and a contract with Lopez was in the works, but apparently the negotiations hit a snag due to certain, unknown demands made by Lopez. With Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres leaving the hit show, the producers are looking for big name power to keep the viewers interested in the show, which last year was still the #1 television show, despite a slight decline in the ratings.
Is the news about Lopez not joining American Idol good or bad? Who do you think should be the new Idol Judges? Let us know!

Does “L” stand for Loser or does it stand for Love? Well in this particular case, love may be in the air! Popsugar.com reports that a couple of Glee cast members may be hooking up. Can you guess who from this picture? You guessed it – it’s Jenna Ushkowitz & Kevin McHale!!! They were spotted on a beach in Monaco during a break from the festivities at the Monte Carlo TV Festival. They were seen canoodling in the pool and getting cozy while laying out in the sun. This is exciting for us Glee fanatics. The season may be over but they are definitely keeping us interested with a possible love match?!?!
Now that “American Idol” is history for Simon Cowell, he’s turned his attention to trying to make history again, as he brings an American version of his UK hit “The X Factor” to Fox next fall. When “American Idol” was adapted from England’s “Pop Idol” in 2002, there weren’t any expectations for what was then a summer fill-in reality series. Since then, Cowell and “Idol” have become household names, so is he feeling a little more pressure in bringing “The X Factor” to America?
