THE TWILIGHT FILMS HAVE BEEN A ROLLER COASTER RIDE FOR ROBERT PATTINSON

Before hitting it big in the Twilight films, Robert Pattinson was a young actor finding small parts in films such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and other smaller films. But it was the role of Edward Cullen that made Pattinson a worldwide star. Now that he is done filming all of the Twilight movies, Pattinson is thankful for the doors that the franchise has opened for him, but at the same time it has been tough for him to deal with all that stardom also brings.  (Click on the audio player to hear Robert Pattinson)

ROBERT PATTINSON: MAKING THE FIVE ‘TWILIGHT’ MOVIES TOOK ITS TOLL

Robert Pattinson has devoted several years of his life and career to the “Twilight” movies, but that has essentially come to an end, now that principle photography on the two “Breaking Dawn” films has been completed.

While Pattinson is the first to acknowledge that he owes his career to “Twilight,” he’s also relieved that the series is finished.  Of course, it now frees him up to work on other movies, but Pattinson also admits that working on the five “Twilight” films was a grueling process.

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ opens in theaters on November 18.  In the meantime, you can still catch Pattinson in “Water For Elephants,” which is in theaters now.

OF PATTINSON AND PACHYDERMS: ‘TWILIGHT’ STAR TALKS ‘WATER FOR ELEPHANTS’

Thanks to his starring role in the “Twilight” movies, Robert Pattinson is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.  But although he gave a good performance in the drama “Remember Me,” it didn’t perform as well as many thought it would have at the box office.  Will Pattinson’s fans follow him aside from “Twilight”?  Will he be able to gain new fans from outside the “Twilight” universe?  We’ll find out the answer this weekend.  Pattinson gives the best performance of his career in the movie “Water For Elephants,” which opens this Friday.  Like “Twilight,” the film is based on a best-selling novel, and Pattinson’s terrific acting job is complemented by compelling performances from Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.

When we spoke with Pattinson, he talked about working with his other co-star, Rosie the elephant; how he’s feeling more comfortable as an actor; and how he will look back at the “Twilight” movies now that “Breaking Dawn” is almost ready to wrap.  Take a look at the video, and let us know if you’re looking forward to seeing Pattinson in “Water For Elephants.”

ROBERT PATTINSON HOPES HIS FANS LIKE HIM IN WATER FOR ELEPHANTS

Robert Pattinson has one of the most devoted fans bases that anybody can have.  Thus far, Pattinson has spent the majority of his acting career working on the Twilight films, which are soon coming to an end.  Pattinson is near completing the last of those films, Twilight: Breaking Dawn.  But, next Friday, his fans will get to see a different side of him when his new film, Water For Elephants, based on a beloved book, opens in theatres.  Pattinson gives what we think is his best performance yet.
We spoke to Pattinson who told us that he knows his mother will like the film, but also hopes his fans will.  (Click on the audio player to hear Robert Pattinson)

AS ‘DAWN’ APPROACHES, ROBERT PATTINSON SHARES HIS ‘TWILIGHT’ HIGHLIGHTS

Since starring in the first Twilight movie in 2008, Robert Pattinson has not only become a worldwide heart throb, he is also one of the most famous people in the world. The Twilight movies opened the door for Pattinson to become a leading man in movies. His latest movie, Water For Elephants, which will be released on April 22nd, is probably his best acting work yet.

Pattinson is currently working on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the last two films of the beloved Twilight movie franchise, which are being filmed simultaneously. Pattinson has devoted over five years of his life to the Twilight franchise, and now that is on the verge of completion, a chapter will close for Pattinson.  We spoke to Pattinson today and asked him how he will look back and reflect on the Twilight movies.

WILL ‘COSMOPOLIS’ BRING ROBERT PATTINSON A BRIGHT FUTURE AFTER ‘TWILIGHT’?

Robert Pattinson has booked his first movie after he completes the two-part “Twilight Saga” finale.  According to Deadline.com, Pattinson’s landed the lead role in director David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” playing a financial genius who puts his career — and possibly his life — on the line when he bets against Japan’s yen on a turbulent business day.

This could be a great role for Pattinson, who recently shot “Water For Elephants” with Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz. That film is due to hit theatres April 22.

While the role of Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” movies made him a superstar, he hasn’t exactly proven himself outside that franchise.  The drama “Remember Me,” in which he starred with “Lost’s” Emilie de Ravin, grossed less in its entire run than each of the “Twilight” pics made in its first day, so there are certainly those who question his ability to carry a movie on his own.  Only time will tell, and he’ll have his share of chances: Along with “Water For Elephants,” he can be seen in “Bel Ami” (which doesn’t have a release date yet — never a great sign), and of course, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” which arrives on November 17.

IS ROBERT PATTINSON READY TO BECOME AN ENTERTAINMENT MOGUL?

Many actors and actresses in Hollywood, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts have started their own production companies, and have produced and nurtured movies and television shows which they want to star in and/or feel passionate about.

Now, it looks like we can add Robert Pattinson to that list.  Pattinson told us that he wants to follow in their foot steps, and be an all around producer. (click on the audio player to hear Robert Pattinson)

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

But Pattinson might have to wait a while to start his production company. He is currently getting ready to shoot Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1, and next year he will be starring in two feature films, Bel Ami (co-starring Uma Thurman) and Water For Elephants (co-starring Reese Witherspoon).
